- Included
- Water that would have drained below the roots and is instead held where the crop can reach it. This is the only pathway that raises the yield figure above.
- Counted as a saving, not as yield
- Better nutrient retention and mycorrhizal colonisation. The model computes both in full and applies them to your fertiliser bill. On a field where nutrition already limits nothing that is right; where nutrition is what limits your yield, it understates the benefit.
- Not represented at all
- Any yield effect from biology itself — deeper rooting, improved stress tolerance, soil structure built over seasons. These are not zero. The model treats them as zero because we cannot yet put a defensible number on them, which is a statement about our evidence and not about the product.
If your field improves by more than the figure above, that is not necessarily an error in your measurement.
